Catherine Ela , PhD, is currently the Head of the clinical trials department at the Ministry of Health. Prior to that she held the position of director of the clinical trials medical devices and advanced therapies unit and was a pharmacist at the Pharmaceutical Department at the Ministry of Health.
She was born in France where she graduated from the Faculty of Sciences Nice Sophia Antipolis and received her Master's Degree in Biochemistry.
After arriving in Israel in 1985 she completed a Master's degree in Microbiology and a PhD at the Hebrew University Medical School.
She is also a registered pharmacist graduate of the Hebrew University school of Pharmacy.
